Compliance
Texting your clients, done properly.
Consent respected. Opt-outs honoured for good. Nothing sent without your say-so. This page explains how TextSavy keeps salon texting safe, in plain English.
How TextSavy keeps texting safe
Consent respected.
Campaign lists are built only from clients whose consent your salon has recorded. No consent, no text.
Opt-outs are forever.
A STOP is honoured the moment it arrives, confirmed back to the client, and stays honoured unless that client texts START.
Nothing sends without you.
Every campaign waits for your approval. Nova can draft; only you can send.
Every send on the record.
Who approved it, who received it, when, and what happened. Kept on record, not quietly aged out.
Consent stays where it belongs
Consent belongs to your salon. You collect it from your clients the way you always have, at the till, at booking, in your own records. TextSavy's job is different: to record that consent and then enforce it without exception.
When a campaign list is built, anyone without messaging consent is left out automatically. Not flagged for you to remember. Left out. That includes clients arriving from your booking system without recorded consent: they stay out of marketing sends until consent exists.
If you want the rules behind this in plain English, the salon SMS GDPR guide for Ireland and the UK covers consent, the existing-customer exception, and what every marketing text must include.

STOP means stop, for as long as they want
When a client texts STOP, three things happen at once. Their opt-out is recorded against your salon's number. A confirmation goes back so they know it worked. And from that moment, no marketing campaign can include them.
The opt-out has no expiry date. It is not reviewed, refreshed, or quietly forgotten after a while. It holds until that same client texts START, and not a day less. Every campaign list is checked against the opt-out register before anything is queued, and every message carries the way out.
Clients can also just reply. Two-way conversation works: a reply lands with your salon, a booking intent is recognised, and STOP and START are understood in their common forms.

The decision is always yours
This is the part of TextSavy we treat as philosophy rather than feature. Your clients gave their numbers to your salon, not to software, and so the decision to message them always passes through the person whose name is over the door.
Nova can spot the gap in your week, build the list, and write the message. It cannot send. Even the most automated suggestion in the product waits for a named person to approve it, and refuses to move without that approval. And around every send sit quiet guardrails: a cooldown so no client is messaged twice in quick succession, duplicate suppression, and a fresh opt-out check at approval.
Approval is not friction in the process. It is the process.
A record you could show anyone
For every campaign, TextSavy keeps the account straight: who approved it, which clients received it, when it went, and what the outcome was, message by message. Audit summaries are kept deliberately free of personal content. And records are retained rather than aged out, so the history is there when you want it.
If a question is ever asked about a message your salon sent, the answer exists, in order, with a timestamp.
Your data, in Ireland, and only yours
Your client records are stored on servers in Ireland, inside the EU. Every record is scoped to your salon alone: one business can never see another's clients, lists, or history. Data travels over encrypted connections.
Your data also works only for you. It powers your campaigns, your Nova suggestions, and your own numbers, and it is never visible to another salon and never sold.
Yours on the way out, too
If you ever leave TextSavy, your data does not become ours. You can ask for your records, and you can ask for your salon's data to be removed, and we honour it.
Your number, your name, your conversation
Your salon texts from its own dedicated number, not a shared pool. Clients see a consistent number, reply to it, and the conversation comes back to you: answers, booking intents, and opt-outs all land with your salon. Where local rules require it, numbers are registered to your business.

Want the rules themselves?
This page is how TextSavy behaves. The rules it is built around live in two guides written for salon owners, not lawyers:
One honest note: TextSavy is a tool, not a law firm, and nothing on this page is legal advice. The authorities on the rules are the ICO in the UK and the Data Protection Commission in Ireland, and for anything that matters to your business, they are the source.
Common questions
Is texting my clients through TextSavy GDPR-safe?
TextSavy is built so the safe way is the default way: consent is recorded and enforced, opt-outs are honoured permanently, every message carries a way out, and nothing sends without your approval. No tool can promise your business is compliant, and you should be wary of any that does, because compliance also depends on how consent was collected and how a business behaves. What TextSavy does is make the right behaviour the path of least resistance. The rules themselves are in the GDPR guide. What happens when a client replies STOP?
Their opt-out is recorded immediately, a confirmation is sent back so they know it worked, and no marketing campaign can include them again unless they text START. The opt-out never expires on its own.Can anything send without me approving it?
No. Nova drafts and suggests, but it cannot send. Every campaign, including automatic gap-fill suggestions, waits for explicit approval from a named person, and the product refuses to send anything that has not received it.Who can see my client data?
Your salon, and only your salon. Records are stored on servers in Ireland, scoped to your business alone, never visible to another salon, and never sold. What happens to my data if I leave?
It stays yours. You can ask for your records and ask for your salon's data to be removed, and we honour it.
